House
We chose one of our houses because it had a big open space outside so we had room to film. Also, because it follows a scene in a bedroom of the main character playing guitar, and after we have him walking down the street to show time passing, him coming out of the house creates a narrative.
Walking down the road
We used the street that the house was on, so we could film the character walking from his house down the street without a change of scene. This creates realism. We also liked the appearance of this street better than others because it had nice scenery e.g. tree's and bushes. We used the long street so we could include the jump shots of him being further and further down the street, this suggests time is passing him by.
Lecture Theatre
We used the lecture theatre in school because it had no windows therefore we could get the room very dark to fit the mise-en-scene of our music video. We also had space to use the projector and the big screen for the use of flashbacks behind Ally (which emphasises rejection) and this is the setting we wanted to portray. We had the idea of doing this particular scene because of one of the music videos by 'The Script' called 'Breakeven' which had a simular concept to our song.
Bus Stop

We looked at many bus stops around where we live, we chose this one because it looked the most presentable, it didn't have any graffiti etc. It will also let the audience know that he is travelling somewhere alone.

We decided to film this scene on a sofa in a house because this again, creates realism of a real girl rejecting a phone call. The was also lots of space around the sofa so we could film from many different angles to see what looks most proffesional.
Park by the pond
We filmed the flashbacks and alone shots of the characters in a park by a pond because it is a romantic setting and this will make it obvious to the audience that they were once together. It also fits with the idea of him coming back here alone with black and white editing to create the feeling of rejection and loneliness.
